Craig Scott, a professor at Osgoode Hall Law School who is Director of Osgoode’s Nathanson Centre on Transnational Human Rights, Crime and Security and a faculty affiliate of York's European Union Centre of Excellence, has been awarded a 2010 Ikerbasque Fellowship by the Basque Foundation for Science, a granting agency established by the Government of the Basque Country in Spain in 2008 with the mission to consolidate the Basque Country as “a European point of reference for excellence in the field of research.” The fellowship will support 12 months of personal research and collaboration with the ...

York University has been awarded a European Union Centre of Excellence grant by the European Commission in Brussels. At York, the EUCE will be housed at the Canadian Centre for German and European Studies and will work to both integrate York University’s existing research, teaching, outreach, and networking activities on Europe and the EU and to introduce and facilitate new activities, at York and in the wider region, promoting knowledge and understanding of the EU and the importance of the EU-Canada relationship.
