Smart Grid Solutions: EUCE Visiting Scholar to Present

EUCE York Visiting Scholar Dr. Rosa Fernández (Applied Economics, Spain’s National Distance Education University (UNED)) will be a panelist at the Sustainable Energy Initiative’s Smart Grid Solutions seminar to take place at Toronto’s Ryerson University on Monday, January 26th from 8 to 11:30 am. Dr. Fernández has taught at UNED for five years and successfully defended her thesis entitled “European Union and climate change. Main economic effects” in 2010. She has participated in a number of international conferences and workshop and her research projects “EU policies and climate change. Consequences. Comparative study between Spain and United Kingdom” and “The environmental side of CSR strategies” were both awarded funding for research stays at the University of Exeter (U.K.).

Dr. Fernández’ publications have focused on climate change, energy policy and corporate social responsibility. At present she is a contributor to the University Association of Contemporary European Studies’ Collaborative Research Network “The Governance of Sustainability: Multiple dimensions, multiple approaches”.
