Lecture: The EU’s external borders and refugee protection: from Dublin to Tunisia, March 17, 2011

The Centre for Refugee Studies, CERIS – The Ontario Metropolis Centre and EUCE York are pleased to a lecture by Stefan Kok, Research Lawyer with the Law Commission of Ontario and until recently a senior policy officer and strategic analyst for the Dutch Council for Refugees .This talk will take place on Thursday, March 17th from 12:30 to 2:00 pm in room 519 York Research Tower (building #95 on the map found here) .

This event is open to all.

As a member of the ECRAN advocacy network of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE), Mr. Kok closely followed the establishment of the Common European Asylum System. He has published on EU legislation and was the co-author of ECRE’s Way Forward publication ‘Towards fair and efficient asylum procedures in Europe’. He holds an LLM from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands.
